PADUA, Italy (BRAIN) — The Italian saddle brand Astute has announced that Ciclista-America will be its distributor in the U.S. for the 2018 season. The brand has been distributed in the U.S. by MC2 until recently.

Astute said it is "widely expanding" its presence in the U.S. market next year.

PITTSBURGH (BRAIN) — West Virginia's Big Bear Lake Camplands was the scene for the Dirt Fest West Virginia mountain bike festival earlier this month. The event attracted more than 900 riders from 20 states and Canada.

HELSINKI, Finland (BRAIN) — Amer Sports' cycling business, done through its Mavic and Enve brands, was down 12 percent in local currencies in the first half of the year, and down 18 percent in the company's second quarter, the company is reporting.  But Enve sales were up in the half.
