The Upstand

CHAPEL HILL, NC (BRAIN) — The Upstand is a 40-gram carbon fiber kickstand that folds up for storage in the rider's pocket while riding. The stand attaches to the bike via a tab under the rear quick release that mates to a magnetized rod.

MONTREAL, Quebec (BRAIN) — Dorel Industries’ bike division saw a 7 percent gain in revenue in 2012. Total revenue across the recreational and leisure segment was $928 million, up from $861 million the previous year. The segment includes all of its bicycle brands.

The agreement is the first pro team sponsorship for the casual shoe brand, whose name is pronounced "cushy."
