CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM has released two new mountain bike wheels, the Roam 30 and Roam 40, and its Quarq division has lowered the price of its power meter cranks and chainrings, which are now being sold separately to increase flexibility.

POTOMAC, Md. (BRAIN) — Former U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar is being remembered as perhaps cycling's greatest supporter in congressional history.

Oberstar died at his home in Maryland early Saturday. He was 79 and his family said the cause of death was unknown.

WATERLOO, Wisc. (BRAIN) — Trek retailers are now selling a new disc-brake equipped version of the Trek Domane, the company's endurance road bikes. 

The Domane line features Trek's IsoSpeed feature, which isolates the seattube from the seatstays, for improved comfort.
