The Bicycle Ride Directors' Association of America (BRDAA) was founded in 1987 by a small group of professional bicycle event promoters in Whittier, California. The goals of the Association are to foster cooperation among recreational ride promoters, offer an affordable and proper insurance program and provide a forum for the exchange of information and experience among the membership. BRDAA maintains a master calendar of events to avoid conflicting dates and to provide efficient scheduling of member events.
Today the membership is nation-wide and is comprised of both profit and non-profit organizations. The BRDAA membership includes bicycle clubs, one-day special event ride directors and domestic and international tour operators. BRDAA benefits both road and mountain bike fun rides and tours.
