Echelon Gran Fondo Columbia River Gorge

Echelon is part of a national cycling series designed to raise money for cancer research and survivors, specifically LIVESTRONG˙, and local to the northwest, the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Funds will also go to the Historic Columbia River Highway.

The course starts at the Discovery Center just west of Hood River and follows the Columbia River eastward through The Dalles, and into the rolling scablands and wheat fields followed by a monster climb up Hood. There are 30, 60 and 100-mile options.

Register online at www.echelongranfondo.org and pay the $25 initial fee. By event date, you must raise or pay an additional $125 as the basic registration fee is $150.
