ExpoBici is now the only bicycle trade show in Italy—Padova Fiere and Confindustria ANCMA, which previously ran the EICA show, agreed to hold a single event instead of two competing trade shows—and the single-show format seems to have boosted attendance in 2013. The trade show remains a key event for the Italian market, many exhibitors noted, as it draws retailers nationwide who attend to test, see and order next-model-year bikes and parts as well as meet with regional distributors.
