Indonesia is the 3rd world largest consumer in motorcycle after China and India. The country's motorcycle industry has continued to grow as motorcycles still serve the cheapest and efficient means of transport for most of the people in urban and rural areas. In addition the ratio of motorcycles to the population in the country is still low compared with other countries in this region. Therefore, still provides a potential market for motorcycles encouraging producers to increase their production capacity. Cycling become one of the most popular sports among this generation in Indonesia. The demand for quality bicycles spurs the local market in Indonesia. In 2006 bicycles sales recorded US$ 1,65 billion and become US$ 2,19 billion in 2008. And motorcycle sales reached US$ 6.92 billion in 2009 and the projection for 2010 is US$ 7.14 billion.
