Triple Eight Sales Manager

Triple Eight Distribution is looking for a Sales Manager to lead our domestic sales efforts through a period of significant growth potential. Leveraging our leading brand positioning in key verticals including bike and mass will be critical initiatives. As a growing Action Sports company, there is excellent opportunity for career growth!

Specific Responsibilities Include:
•Serve as Triple Eight’s product and brand ambassador to passionately represent Triple Eight and its products to targeted retailers large and small
•Develop high level relationships with senior level retail executives; leverage existing retail relationships and must have a proven ability to develop and maintain new relationships; must be able to manage relationships with retail customers as diverse as a local skate or bike shop and a major mass retailer
•Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that will result in opening new accounts and increasing sales from existing accounts; responsible for managing all aspects of the sales process including creating targeted sales presentation materials; must be able to complete competitive analyses and develop/maintain new business target lists as well as accurately forecast sales and achieve corporate margin requirements
•Manage the Independent Sales Rep Program; manage Sales Rep staffing, training, communication, goal setting and performance evaluations
•Manage internal sales efforts to drive sales from a dedicated list of current accounts
•Prepare periodic sales reports and analysis
•Budget, manage and analyze Sales expenses, including travel
•Help coordinate the national and regional Trade Show schedule

Key Personal Attributes Include:
•Need to have an interest in the action sports, bike and/or sporting goods industries
•Live on or can easily commute to Long Island New York HQ

Key Experience Should Include:
•Should have experience working with and managing major national accounts in the sports, outdoor and mass market spaces; ideal candidate would have existing retail relationships and must have experience in the Bike Market
•Need to be skilled in Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint and Excel, with experience in creating sales and presentation materials and reports
•Must have the ability to generate, analyze and understand sales reports
•Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of prior sales management experience in a related field
