SILVER CITY, N.M. (BRAIN) — Race directors of the Tour of the Gila are putting out the call for angel sponsors after the 28-year-old stage race’s title sponsor pulled its investment early this week. If new sponsors don’t emerge, the April 29 race in Silver City, N.M., may have to be canceled, organizers added.

LONGMONT, Colo. (BRAIN) — This year's Clif Bar CrossVegas event will become the first round of the 2015-2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, and the first 'cross World Cup event in history to be held outside Europe.

The website is promising a new style of coverage with an expanded video crew at each event, as well as extra content that will be released throughout the year.

MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — The 2015 Minnesota's North Star Bicycle Festival – formerly the Nature Valley Grand Prix – one of the country's oldest and largest pro racing events, is in danger of being canceled.

AUSTIN, Texas (BRAIN) — The final races of USA Cycling's cyclocross national championships, including the marquee elite men and elite women events, were rescheduled for Monday, after local officials said the course at Zilker Park was becoming too heavily damaged by muddy conditions to hold the races Sunday.

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (BRAIN) — The 2015 Breck Epic MTB Stage Race has a new official lodging partner and host property, Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge. The event, first held in 2009, previously had used a local ice arena as its home base.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — A new movie by filmmaker Benedict Campbell, "For the Love of Mud, a Film about Cyclo-cross," will premiere at the USA Cycling national cyclocross championships on Jan. 9.
