When the idea of bringing Crankworx to the lower 48 was presented to Winter Park Resort, we were stoked to say the least. But then we realized what a huge deal it was to build courses worthy of the world’s best riders. After months of work, the inaugural Crankworx Colorado took place July 5-7, 2007. When all was said and done, it is fair to say that Crankworx Colorado was a smashing success and was nothing short of phenomenal. Serious cash was taken home by Slopestyle winners Cam McCaul, Jamie Goldman and Paul Basagoita. Jamie Goldman also took home 1st place in the Big Air Competition thanks to his back flip, x-up one foot off the bottom feature in the slopestyle course. If you missed the action this year, well you missed a lot. But don’t worry. Crankworx Colorado will be back in 2008 and it will only get bigger!
