China Cycle 2007 (The 17th China International Bicycle & Motor Fair)

In the mass market section, China is no doubt the world's bike base in terms of the bike and parts production. In 2006, China made 67326903 units of bike and 56005900 bikes were exported. The three major bike base is Tianjian, Yangtze Delta area (including Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai) and Guangdong. In our show, most of the Chinese bike industry is represented. In 2006, we have 920 exhibitors covering every parts of the bike production. In four-days time, you could meet the whole bicycle chains in China and the world. Come to Shanghai and find your partner from a thousand suppliers just in four days. The IBD market, although very new in China, has seen great development in the past years. China has the biggest market. For expensive bikes, it is the same. People began to pick up bike as a sport and a way of life. Local IBD store has been popular in big cities. There is no official statistics but just in Shanghai there are more than ten quality stores. Those stores often have their online shop, a BBS, a club to host weekly ride. At the same time, big bike brands also entered into the Chinese market with their own concept store. The same story repeated in other cities such as Beijing, Hebei and Guangzhou. Bike activities and races are also popularny. It is sure that this market will continue to grow and there will be huge market potential.
