CSG adds 12-video training series to Cycling Prophet program

Published March 20, 2018

WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — Cycling Sports Group has launched a video training series focused on "Selling Service" to its Cycling Prophet retail education program.

The company said the videos "will empower IBDs to maximize the service department helping them increase revenue, build customer relations, and streamline operations."

"When a customer walks into a shop, they should walk in with confidence they're going to receive a best-in-class experience," said Nick Hage, the general manager of CSG US. "Now, more than ever, the service department is integral to that experience. Whether a bike needs to be fixed or simply tuned up, those conversations begin in the service department, and it's where relationships are forged."

Selling Service is a byproduct of Cycling Prophet's ongoing partnership with Garage Peloton, a sales management training provider in the powersports industry. Shops will learn how to manage and charge for work orders, upsell in the service department, and connect with and speak to customers.

"The service department may not be out on the shop floor, yet they are indeed on the front lines of the shop experience," said Jane Pearson, Cycling Prophet's global director of education. "Now, with both sales and service training, we can provide a more complete education series to help shop employees thrive – no matter their role."

Currently available in North America, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Romania, and India, Selling Service will continue to expand globally. The videos will be hosted in Cycling Prophet's Business School, and it will join Selling Sessions, a 13-video series focused on front of the shop sales technique that launched in August of 2017.
