BOULDER CITY, NV (BRAIN) — The 2012 Interbike Expo got underway Monday with the opening of the Outdoor Demo at Bootleg Canyon a few miles from Las Vegas.

Nearly 100 exhibitors showed their wares and many made bikes and accessories available for tests on nearby roads and trails.

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) — Interbike is offering two mobile downloads with tools to help showgoers stay organized at next week's show.

The show's interactive app is available for iOS, Andriod and Blackberry devices. The app includes maps, exhibitor lists and calendars of seminars and other events, plus some social features with Twitter, Facebook and a Interbike "friends" feature.

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN) — Where the Trail Ends, a mountain biking movie three years in the making, will make its premiere Wednesday evening in Las Vegas.

The movie focuses on five freeriders as they seek out new riding terrain around the world, from Argentina to the Gobi Desert and beyond.

The line is being introduced by Golden Viking Sports, a division of Canada-based INA International and the licensee of the Diadora brand in North America.

CRESTED BUTTE, CO (BRAIN) — Gary Sjoquist, the director of QBP's advocacy program, has been elected to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, which is in Crested Butte. He will be officially inducted into the Hall at a ceremony during the Interbike show in Las Vegas later this month.
