CARLSBAD, CA (BRAIN) — Focus Bicycles is returning to the WorldTour with a three-year agreement to sponsor France's Ag2r-La Mondiale team. The brand will be the technical sponsor of the team, which will ride a new Izalco Team SL model for the 2013 season.

Focus has previously sponsored the Milram and Katusha teams.

“As a premium supplier, it is very important for us to work with leading professional teams and allow their feedback to flow directly into the development of our products," said Mathias Seidler, CEO of Derby Cycle AG, the owner of the Focus brand.

The team will be made up of 26 to 29 riders, representing at least seven nationalities. The team includes promising German newcomer Julian Kern, Colombian Carlos Betancur, Italian climbing specialist Domenico Pozzovivo and Belarusian sprinter Yauheni Hutarovich.

The team will use the Izalco Team SL in road steages, the Izalco Chrono for time trial and the Mares cyclocross bikes.
