Drift releases new Ghost-S action camera

Published November 20, 2013

LOS ANGELES, CA (BRAIN) — Drift Innovation introduced a new action camera on Wednesday that features what the company claims is the longest battery life on the market, along with other new features.

The new Drift Ghost-S will be available Nov. 26 for $399 MSRP.

It has a claimed 3 1/2 hour battery life, built-in two-inch LCD screen, waterproofing up to 9 feet (and up to 196 feet with additional case), ability to shoot 1080p@60fps, a 300-degree rotating lens, wifi video streaming while recording, two-way remote control and multiple mounts.

The 3 1/2 hour battery life is achieved at 30 fps setting. The LCD screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass and lets users see what they're filming or use it for instant playback. It also offers "Scene Mode" and the ability to choose from normal, vivid or low light settings.

A video tagging feature allows the user to set the camera to record continuously, overwriting previous recordings as it goes. When the tag button is pushed, the camera saves the previous few minutes of footage.
