Yakima introduces two new tray-style hitch racks

Published July 29, 2014

BEAVERTON, Ore. (BRAIN) — Yakima Products is expanding its line of tray-style hitch racks with the new FourPlay and TwoTimer models.

"This style of bike carrier is the fastest growing category on the market, thanks to its incredible ease of use and ability to accommodate all kinds of bikes regardless of frame design, suspension or wheel size," said Michael Zoormajian, Yakima's global product manager.

The TwoTimer, which holds two bikes, comes pre-assembled and fits 1 ¼-inch and 2-inch hitch receivers. The FourPlay, which holds four bikes or can be converted to carry two, has one-step, tool-free assembly and fits 2-inch hitch receivers.

Both models fold down for easy rear-of-vehicle access, and fold up when not in use. Both models also have a Same Key System (SKS) HitchLock to secure the rack to the hitch receiver.

Both will be available for Spring 2015. The FourPlay has an MSRP of $499; the TwoTimer will sell for $299.
