Wilier Triestina offers its aero road bike Cento1SR with non-integrated seatpost

Published May 7, 2015

ATLANTA (BRAIN) — Wilier Triestina is now offering its Cento1SR frames and complete bikes with a standard aerodynamic seatpost as an alternative to its integrated seatpost design.

The Wilier Triestina Cento1SR won three U.S. National Championship titles in the last year. The company is betting that the standard seatpost model will bring the lightweight aerodynamic frameset to a wider audience.

The new Cento1SR with a standard aerodynamic seat post will bring this race winning frame to a wider audience.

"We have listened to the feedback from our professional teams, including UHC, and the new Cento1SR is a product of that collaboration," the company said.

"In combination with Ritchey, we have developed a unique Kamm-tail aerodynamic seatpost. In place of the integrated seatmast, the new post maintains the wind-cheating ability of the Cento1SR, but increases the bike's adaptability to a range of riders. The new seatpost will make traveling with the Cento1SR much simpler, and also improve adjustability for the home mechanic."

The bike maintained its Di2-ready internal routing and 3D dropout system.

The Cento1SR will be offered in the United States as a complete bike with a DuraAce mechanical groupset.
