Sigma Brakelight is activated by brake cable

Published October 21, 2015

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (BRAIN) — The Sigma Brakelight clips to a bike's rear brake cable and turns on when the rider brakes.

It fits u-brakes, v-brakes, cantilevers, road calipers, and mechanical disk brakes (but not hydraulics). The LED light is powered by a replaceable CR 1025 button cell battery, which is included. It requires at least 25mm of exposed rear brake cable. Burn time is approximately 200 hours continuous light, or an average of 100,000 braking processes.

It attaches easily with using a 2.5 mm hex wrench and has a rounded brass screw to protect the brake cable. It's available in black, white, red, blue or green. The water-resistant housing weighs only 7 grams. MSRP is $9.99.
