Swagman Patrol rack secures bikes in truck beds

Published June 6, 2016

PENTICTON, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Swagman has launched the Patrol, a fork-mount bike rack designed for pickup trucks that can carry all classes of bikes.

The Patrol can transport two bikes with ease and can handle at least one additional bike by purchasing an extra Impakt Fork mount. Additional bikes are limited by

handlebar width and height and truck box width.

The telescoping aluminum bar expands to fit any truck box width. Sitting on the box side rails, it is locked in place through a combination of expanded force from the locking macro-adjust cam lever, the locking micro-adjust wheel as well as the optional steel pegs that can be drilled.

The Patrol fits nearly all standard 9mm QR-equipped bikes as well as 15mm thru-axle bikes. Swagman has optional 20mm x100mm and 15mm x 150mm wide available now and 12mm x 100mm coming soon.

The rack offers high security, with a locking cam lever, locking micro-adjust wheel for fit against truck walls, and locking 9mm QR included in each Impakt. It comes with three keys, keyed alike to fit all four locks.

Suggested retail: $270.
