Stromer's new ST1 X designed for style- and tech-savvy consumers

OBERWANGEN, Switzerland (BRAIN) — The new ST1 X from Stromer was designed to appeal "to the style-conscious riders who place a premium on outstanding technology," the brand said.

The Class 3 e-bike contains smart features including the Stromer OMNI app that turns a smartphone into a cockpit and offers anti-theft protection with lock, alarm and positioning. The Omni interface, with touch functionality, packaged in a small onboard computer, is incorporated into the frame, as are the majority of the cables of the ST1X.

Delivering 500 watts and assistance up to 28 mph, the Cyro-Drive motor offers up to 65 miles on a charge. The motor is combined with a Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain.

It is available in colors including Sand, Ocean, Charcoal, White or Orange. It retails for $4,999.

It is available in three frame sizes: 17-inch, 20-inch, and 22-inch in the sport version as well as 17-inch in a comfort version.
