BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — The Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) filed an objection with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) over its proposed rule change that states once a firm voluntarily agrees to undertake a corrective action plan, the firm is legally bound to fulfill the terms of the agreement. Currently suppliers are under no legal restraints when filing a voluntary recall.

Joseph Robinson, 21, was struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday.

IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Some 200 to 250 cyclists and Southern California industry representatives turned out early Wednesday for a memorial ride and ceremony to honor Joseph Robinson, a local bike shop employee who was killed by a hit-and-run driver during a morning ride Sunday. He was 21.

VEVEY, Switzerland (BRAIN) — The iconic brand PowerBar has a new owner—Post Holdings, the maker of Grape-Nuts, Post Raisin Brand, Honey Bunches of Oats and other foodstuffs.  Nestle SA sold the brand, along with its Australian sport nutrition company, Musashi, to Post. Nestle made the announcement Monday.
