HOLSEBRO, Denmark (BRAIN) — Danish ceramic bearing maker CeramicSpeed has named Ben Powell as its U.S. aftermarket operations manager. Powell has worked with HED Cycling and will work out of Clermont, Florida, and Boulder, Colorado, as CeramicSpeed targets the U.S. market for the first time.

NEW YORK CITY, NY (BRAIN) — Bert Cebular, founder of the NYCeWheels retail shop, died Wednesday in a paraglider accident, according to local news reports.

Cebular founded the shop on Manhattan's Upper East Side in 2001. It specializes in folding and electric bikes and scooters.

HERCULES INLET, ANTARCTICA (BRAIN)—Utah retailer Daniel Burton has left his base camp in Antarctica in an attempt to be the first person to ride a bicycle to the South Pole. If he succeeds, he’ll cover 1,500 miles roundtrip from the coast inland to the pole and back.
