Published November 6, 2007

SEATTLE, WA (BRAIN)—Move over San Francisco, Seattle has some grand bike plans of its own, and it’s not just talk.

The city has just approved one of the more aggressive bike plans in the country. The 10-year Bicycle Master Plan calls for 118 miles of new bike lanes and 19 miles of trails, according to the Seattle Times newspaper.

Mayor Greg Nickels hopes commuter cycling will triple as a result of this $27 million plan.
