NBDA Announces Scholarship Program

COSTA MESA, CA (BRAIN)—To support industry efforts for future federal funding of bicycling projects in America, the NBDA has announcesd a scholarship program to fund member dealers to attend the National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C. March 4-6, 2008.

The program is simple: 25 dealers will be awarded grants up to $1000 in value for all expenses related to the participation at the ’08 event. Primary qualifications are
that a dealer store has not participated at a previous National Bike Summit, the dealer must be a current member of the NBDA and an online scholarship application must be
received by January 16, 2008. Final scholarships will be awarded by selection committee and winners notified by January 30, 2008.

In addition to the scholarship program, the NBDA is an “Aluminum” level sponsor for the ‘08 Summit, making its total event commitment at $35,000—the largest support from
the dealer association ever.
