MTBR Looking For More Shop Reviews

Published December 11, 2008

SAN MATEO, CA (BRAIN)—MTBR.com has long been known for its product reviews and trail reviews. But for the last couple of years, the number of bike shops listed in its Bike Shop Reviews section has grown to over 1800 listings. And the number of reviews has continued to grow, strengthening this section of the site and solidifying it as a valuable resource for our users and bike shop owners.

If you own a shop and it isn’t currently listed, you may add the shop yourself. Visit this link to learn more:

If your shop is already listed, MTBR wants to let you know about a new feature it has called the Rating Badge. The Rating Badge is a small graphic image (150×58 pixels) that displays your shop’s rating and number of reviews on Mtbr.com. You can put it on your Web site and it allows all your customers to review your shop. It also gives new customers the reviews and validation they need to buy from you.

MTBR has a special area, in the review page for each shop, where you can get the HTML code. Simply cut and paste into your Web site which then allows the image to show up. It will also dynamically update nightly, so the information is always current.

To see it in action, visit the Passion Trail Bikes Web site:

Another advantage of promoting your bike shop listing on MTBR's site is to encourage users to submit their reviews on the site and, if your site gets enough reviews, it just might be in the running for next years Best Bike Shops—Highest Rated Bike Shops on Mtbr.com.
