Keen Hires Head of Global Business

PORTLAND, OR (BRAIN)—Keen has appointed Troy Ballard to the newly formed position of vice president of global business development.

“As a five-year-old company, we have recognized the need to evolve both our approach and our organization in order to set up for future success around the world,” said James Curleigh, Keen’s president and chief executive officer. “Troy brings the right level of professionalism and passion to this newly created position.”

Ballard joined Keen at the end of 2008 and will take immediate responsibility to transition the sales team into a business development team. He will spend his time between Portland and Sun Valley with his wife and family. Before joining Keen, Ballard served in a number of leadership positions with brands that include Adidas, Salomon, Ripcurl and Icebreaker.
