Published February 2, 2009

FRYEBURG, ME (BRAIN)—Downeast Bicycle Specialists, the Northeast’s largest parts and accessories distributor, will once again be holding an Open House in Fryeburg, Maine, on March 1.

Dealers are invited to visit Downeast’s warehouse, meet its staff, visit with vendors, see new product, and take advantage of special pricing and promotions. Downeast will provide lunch, and will also raffle off door prizes every hour. More than 30 vendors will be in attendance, including Shimano, Michelin, SixSixOne, Pedro’s, Topeak, Sigma, Nalgene, and Full Speed Ahead. The Open House will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Open House will help kick off the 2009 season for Downeast Bicycle, which, after a very successful 2008 season, has added more than 800 new items to its catalog, and has picked up several new vendors, including Clif Bar food, Lezyne accessories, Jandd Mountaineering bags, deGears clothing, Hydrapak hydration bags and Portland Design Works commuter accessories. Downeast expects its 2009 catalog to be in shops by the second week of March.
