Published May 7, 2009

DUARTE, CA (BRAIN)—Dahon has hired Steve Boyd as director of operations for Dahon California.

Boyd will help oversee all aspects of operations and focus specifically on improvements in programs for independent bicycle dealers. He joins Dahon from American Bicycle
Group, where he was vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to joining ABG, Boyd was director of sales in the U.S. for Giant, where he led the brand’s substantial
sales and market share growth over a span of six years.

“Steve brings an incredible wealth of bicycle industry experience,” said David Hon, president and chief executive officer of Dahon. “He knows the product, the territories, and a lot of the dealers. He’ll spearhead our effort to become an even better supplier to the IBD. We’re excited to have him on board.”

“I’m very excited to join such a dynamic and fast growing company,” Boyd said. “Our success depends on dealers doing well, so we’ll be focusing on improving our service and building up our relationships with them. Despite the poor economy the bicycle sector is still doing well so I foresee great opportunities for all of us.”

Boyd received his MBA from Pepperdine University’s Presidential and Key Executive Program in Malibu, California, and has a BA in History from the Virginia
Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. He is based at Dahon’s U.S. headquarters in Duarte, California.
