Tomac Hires Rich Weis as Outside Rep

Published May 25, 2009

LINCOLN, NE (BRAIN)—Tomac Bikes bolstered its U.S. sales force with the addition of industry veteran and pro mountain and road racer Rich Weis.

Weis has been hired by Tomac Bikes as the new outside representative for Arizona and New Mexico. A former road racer for teams like Plymouth/Reebok, Spago, Subaru Montgomery, Coors Light, Schwinn/Neo Life and Health Net, Weis is also an outside rep for Oakley and manages and races with the Taser/Kenda mountain bike team.

“I am really excited about the opportunity to work with Tomac," Weis said. “It’s a great group of people and they are committed to producing a high quality bike for an extremely discerning rider. I am racing a Type X carbon hardtail and it’s the single best race bike I have ever ridden.”

Not only will Weis race Tomac bikes in the Elite category, but he will also display bikes at various events in the Southwest.

“We are always looking for people who naturally fit with the ethos of the brand,” said Tomac owner Joel Smith. “Besides being an outstanding rep, he takes his riding very seriously like the rest of us here at Tomac.”
