Published June 11, 2009

LINCOLN, NE (BRAIN)—Tomac has hired Dan Roper as its new outside rep for the Wyoming and Utah territories.

Roper’s company, Desert Velo LLC, is an independent rep and event promotion company, that in addition to providing rep services, attends regional races in support of local athletes. A veteran of both bike and ski shops for the past 12 years, Roper is a Cat 1 mountain bike racer who began racing back in 1994.

“I am honored to be representing Tomac,” Roper said. “John Tomac is a legend and one of the racers I looked up to when I first started riding and racing, so it’s a great turn of events to be working with Tomac now.”

Roper adds Tomac to a list of other companies he represents, including Troy Lee Designs, NEMA, 5.10, Phat Cycles, Von Zipper and ODI. He is involved locally with the Salt Lake County Bicycle Advisory Committee and is the president of Cutthroat Racing.
