LATROBE, Australia (BRAIN)—Due to a severe lack of funding, the Latrobe Carnival has been cancelled for the first time in more than a century, according to an ABC Australia article.
The event is part of the Tasmanian Christmas Carnivals Series and includes cycling, running and woodchopping.
The Latrobe Bicycle Race Club says there has been a shortage of large sponsorship, leaving no choice but to cancel the Boxing Day event, according to the report.
