Commencal Launching PSR Bikes into U.S.

Published February 8, 2010

SANTA FE, NM (BRAIN)—Known for its high-end downhill, slopestyle, all mountain, dirt jump and XC bikes, Andorran-based Commencal is introducing its new PSR range of complete bikes into the U.S. market. The line features entry to mid-level hardtail XC bikes, with retail prices from $549 to $1,195.

“Response to Commencal in the U.S. has been positive since the brand’s re-entry into in the U.S. two years ago,” said Mike Raney, Commencal’s U.S. brand manager. “Dealers have been asking us for price-point models that help them compete in this tough economic climate."

Commencal steps away from the traditional model year concept with its PSR range. Owner Max Commencal says that by abolishing the model year, PSR bikes will stay fresher longer in dealer showrooms. New models would be released on their own individual timetables and will receive upgrades and revisions as technology and design imperatives dictate.

There are still territories available in the U.S. market. Interested shops can contact Mike Raney at (505) 216-3218, or email mraney@bti-usa.com.
