DENVER, CO (BRAIN)—Boa Technology, maker of the patented Boa Lacing System, has added Chuck Mason as its new vice president of sales.

Bringing 25 years of snowboard, outdoor and cycling industry experience, Mason will be working with Boa to expand existing Boa Lacing System categories and developing new relationships with prospective customers on a global scale.

“The addition of Chuck to our team will put us in a stronger position to capitalize on the rapidly expanding interest in the Boa Lacing System,” said Mark Soderberg, president of Boa Technology. “Chuck brings valuable experience to the Boa team, and his skill set will allow us to find compelling new categories and take our established and successful categories to the next level.”

Mason joins the Boa team after serving as vice president of sales operations at Burton Corporation, where he was responsible for all North American sales management, planning, services, functions and personnel for Burton Snowboards, RED Protection, and Anon eyewear. Prior to that, he was the director of snowboard sales at K2 Sports, which included Ride Snowboards, K2 Snowboards, Morrow Snowboards and 5150 Snowboards.

"I am thrilled with the opportunity to join the Boa team,” Mason said. “I greatly appreciate the team's visionary culture aimed at revolutionizing performance lacing and closure systems. There is no doubt that Boa Technology is at the forefront of defining what future performance lacing and closure systems will be. When closure counts, Boa technology works better. Period. I can not think of a better match for my prior experience in snowboarding, cycling, and outdoor sports than joining this team."
