Trips for Kids Looking for Help

Published August 12, 2010

SAN RAFAEL, CA (BRAIN)—Trips for Kids (TFK) is leading the six-month Clif Bar 2 Mile Challenge and needs to continue increasing its lead to win. The Clif Bar 2 Mile Challenge encourages people to bike instead of drive and will award the team with the most points by October 31, 2010 $25,000.

"Trips for Kids is surrounded by an amazing international community that continues to uplift us and our cause," said Marilyn Price, TFK executive director. "We have signed up more than 1,200 supporters to date and hope to more than double that number by the end of October."

TFK will use the Clif Bar 2 Mile Challenge award to purchase equipment for chapters in need, give program materials to existing chapters and help develop new chapters.

Participants can help TFK win this additional funding by registering online at http://2milechallenge.com/users/add/ (click on link) for the 2 Mile Challenge, joining the Red Team to pedal for TFK and logging their miles traveled by bike.
