EMERYVILLE, CA (BRAIN)—Capo Cycling Apparel has launched a direct sales force.
Capo has structured its sales force as direct sales managers for regions within the U.S, according to a press release. “Reflecting on how we have built our market share on the sales rep model, we believe that in order to take the next step in growth we need to move to a high touch model,” said Gary Vasconi, president of Capo. The direct sales model will help Capo to focus on service. The changes enable us to have more focus at our retailers and offer value in terms of market trends, regional event involvement, merchandising and education. The number of apparel manufacturers continues to grow and if we are going to be a leader in the technical cycling apparel we believe moving to a direct sales model will take us there. The introduction of the U.S. sales force also enables us to focus on the world market as we expect to expand into Italy and the UK in the coming year.
The Capo direct sales team is comprised from in/out of industry professionals with an emphasis on the cycling lifestyle and growing the business through high touch sales managers.
