Raleigh Sponsoring DealerCamp Dirt Grand Prix

Published July 7, 2011

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (BRAIN)—Lifeboat Events, promoters of DealerCamp, announced that Raleigh Bicycles is the presenting sponsor of the DealerCamp Dirt Grand Prix, a USA Cycling sanctioned short track cross country race.

DealerCamp confirmed the prize list today as well for what will be the richest 30 minutes of cross-country mountain biking. The winner of each of the elite races will take home a cool one thousand dollars, as part of a nearly six thousand dollars on offer for the short track event. On Tuesday, July 26, the Dirt Grand Prix returns to an early ideal of mountain biking, offering equal prizes for the men’s and women’s fields.

“We wanted to create an opportunity for the riders to meet their sponsor’s customers and bring some excitement to our opening evening, so the Dirt Grand Prix was born. Raleigh saw the opportunity to bring them together and we are thrilled. We also wanted to make it worthwhile for the racers so we put together what we are discovering is arguably the richest payday in short track,” said Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events.

Katerina Nash, Jonathan Page and Amy Dombroski join other leading pros making the trip to Deer Valley Resort to gun for the big payday. But the real fun may be the supporting races featuring exhibitors and retailers doing battle on the same course as the pros. An Industry Challenge will open up the nights racing at the Dirt Grand Prix, with an open class for both men and women fighting for bragging rights, brand supremacy and a few dollars as well.

The DealerCamp Dirt Grand Prix presented by Raleigh will commence at 5:45 p.m. on the July 26 as part of the opening reception at DealerCamp 2011 in Park City, Utah at the Deer Valley Resort.
