Peformance Hires Leydecker for Senior Role

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (BRAIN)—Performance Bicycle has appointed Mark Leydecker senior vice president of merchandising.

Leydecker, who served in various capacities with the brand from 1995 to 2005, will be responsible for all brand merchandising activities, leading a team focused on development and innovation to continue the company’s rapid growth and commitment to quality service.

Leydecker formerly served as the director of planning and distribution, general manager of Bike Nashbar, and vice president of Bike Nashbar and Supergo. In these positions Leydecker helped the brand expand its retail, catalog and e-commerce sectors, while also assisting with wholesale nationwide.

Before joining Performance Bicycle as senior VP of merchandising, Leydecker served as the managing director for Mavic USA and led its U.S. division. He has also previously worked with The Limited, the GH Bass Company, and Endicott Johnson. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Husson College.
