Published October 10, 2011

WATSONVILLE, CA (BRAIN)—Fox has added Dennis Lane as its new bicycle division vice president and general manager. Lane had been with Giant Bicycles as global director of product development.

Fox also has promoted Mario Galasso to corporate executive vice president. The new corporate executive vice president role has been created to accelerate the company’s focus on R&D efforts on common technologies for its powered sports, off-road, and mountain bike businesses. For the past eight years Galasso has served as Fox's Bicycle Division senior vice president.

Lane brings over 20 years experience in the action sports industry with companies like Atomic, Reebok and Giant. For the last 15 years of his career, Lane was instrumental in Giant's global growth and successful product launches. His wealth of experience in the industry from an OEM's perspective will be extremely valuable to Fox as it continues to evolve its products.

"I look forward to taking a more holistic look at our business and pushing the ride dynamics category company-wide," said Galasso. "We're also very fortunate to bring on Dennis' talents to help drive the development of our mountain bike business into the future."

“I’m very excited to be joining the Fox team. I've always admired the products, the performance and qualities of the Fox brand within the global marketplace,” Lane said. "I look forward to the challenges this new role brings and the opportunity to work alongside some of the most brilliant minds in the world of ride dynamics.”
