VeloNation.com hires sales manager

Cycling news website VeloNation.com has hired Bill Humphreys to head up its advertising sales effort. Humphreys has worked for Litespeed and Rodale previously.

"It's a great opportunity to help build something that's already established itself as a leader in the cycling news space," Humphreys said in a press release.  "All the pieces are in place to bring real value to advertisers; quality content, experienced staff and a significant audience that continues to grow," he added.

VeloNation editor Shane Stokes said the site will expand from racing news into product reviews in the coming year. "Now we've got what we need in place to do it well, manufacturers are sending us product to put to the test, and we are looking forward to adding this coverage to what we already offer our readers,” Stokes said.

Blue Competitions Cycles adds Southeast rep

NORCROSS, GA (BRAIN)—Blue Competitions Cycles Inc. has hired Wes Spruell as its sales representative in the Southeast U.S.

“This is the region Blue has the greatest penetration and it houses our largest retailer,” said Chance Regina, Blue’s National Marketing Manager. “We didn’t want to just hand it to any old rep.”
