LOS ALTOS, CA (BRAIN) Mar 5, 10:30 AM MT—Andy Tompkins has joined Vendor-Link Cycling as vice president of supplier sales and account management.

Vendor-Link Cycling provides suppliers with SKU-level, real-time sell-through, inventory information and smart reports. The company is headquartered in Los Altos, California.

Previously, Tompkins was show director of Interbike and former vice president at Nielsen, Interbike's parent. In his new role Tompkins will report to CEO Raz Alon and will be responsible for expanding the company's reach with industry suppliers.

"Vendor-Link Cycling is a fast growing company with a great value proposition to suppliers, distributors and retailers. The keystone suppliers that are using its service and the significant adoption among retailers are a sharp indicator of the direction this industry is going and of Vendor-Link's potential. Conversations I've had with retailers and suppliers reinforced the notion that visibility into actual inventory levels will have a huge impact on profitability opportunities with reduced stock outs and improved fulfillment resulting in the right products being on-hand at the local bike shop."

Tompkins spent the past 11 years with Nielsen Business Media in sales, operations and leadership roles. Prior to Nielsen, he worked for several years at Miller Freeman publications as an account executive.
