Clean Bottle founder featured in Forbes • Syntace, Liteville and Crema join Shopatron • NYC Bike Expo sells out

SAN DIEGO, CA (BRAIN) Wednesday March 28 2012 11:26 AM MT—Clean Bottle founder David Mayer continues to garner media attention from outside the bike world. In January Mayer was featured on the ABC Shark Tank show, where he was offered a $60,000 investment. This month he was profiled in a two-part series on Forbes.com.

“I feel it is important to share my story, as so many people dream of venturing out on their own, but are too afraid to take the risk,” said Mayer.

Clean Bottle also recently activated a campaign on the crowd-funding site Kickstarter.com.


German brands sign with Shopatron

SAN LUIS OBSIPO, CA (BRAIN) Wednesday March 28 2012 11:31 AM MT—Juniper Action Strategies, the U.S. agent for Syntace, Liteville and Crema Cycles, has signed with Shopatron for online order fulfillment in the U.S. Retailers who enroll in the Shopatron program can fulfill consumer orders placed through the Juniper Action Strategies/Radsport Gallerie site.

Syntace designs and manufactures handlebars, stems, seatposts, tools and accessories. Syntace products are distributed through QBP, BTI and The Hawley Company.

Liteville designs and builds high-end mountain bike suspension frames and bikes. Crema Cycles manufacturers high-end steel frames for road, mountain and cyclocross.


New York City Bike Expo sells out

NEW YORK, NY (BRAIN) Wednesday March 28 2012 11:49 AM MT—The New York City Bike Expo, the pre-race expo of Gran Fondo New York, has sold all expo booths for its second annual edition on May 18-19.

The Expo venue is the mandatory packet pickup for the 6,000 gran fondo participants; it is open to the general public and free. Organizers expect more than 15,000 cycling enthusiasts over the two days.

Thirty seven vendors are signed up. New vendors include Strava.com, the USA Pro Challenge, RacerMate, Campagnolo and Elite.

The event will be held at the Penn Pavilion, a 40,000-square foot venue at 33rd Street and 7th Avenue.
