BC Bike Race sold out • Ibex hires Nancy Andrews • Bell introduces new helmet at Flanders

VANCOUVER, BC (BRAIN) Monday April 2 2012 10:21 AM MT—Registration for the sixth annual BC Bike race is sold out at 500 participants, race organizers announced Friday. The seven-day mountain bike stage race starts July 1. This year organizers have added a timed "Gravity Enduro" competition and a new seventh day in Whistler.

Ibex hires Nancy Andrews as 'New England Merino Pusher'

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT (BRAIN) Monday April 2 2012 10:27 AM MT—Ibex Outdoor Clothing has hired Nancy Andrews as an independent sales representative for New England.

A 30-year veteran of the outdoor industry, Andrews was co-founder of the outdoor specialty retail shop Wild River Outfitters. Andrews has been an
independent sales rep for the past 17 years with experience selling paddlesports gear, hardgoods, Nordic ski, footwear, and soft goods.


Bell introduces new road helmet at Tour of Flanders

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (BRAIN) Monday April 2 2012 10:36 AM MT—Easton-Bell Sports introduced a new high-end road racing helmet at Sunday's Tour of Flanders classic in Belgium. The Bell Gage is named for Gage Avenue in Bell, California, where Bell Auto Parts began many years ago.

The new lid weighs 240 grams, has 26 vents and is available in three sizes and eight color schemes, including a limited edition BMC Team edition. Suggested retail is $190.
