CHICAGO, IL (BRAIN) — Due to its sales growth, German lock maker Abus says it’s hired three people at the company’s Chicago headquarters that begin their new roles this week and next.
Joan Hanscom is the company’s PR and marketing manager and will help promote the brand in the U.S. and Canadian markets. She previously ran, marketed, promoted and owned the U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross. She also worked on PR and marketing at companies such as AOL, G4 Productions and Gollin Harris.
Joining Abus as office manager is Joshua Sutton. He previously worked in several bike shops. Sutton studied photo journalism and has a background in writing.
And Colin Brown recently became a part-time sales assistant. Brown, who’s finishing up his college degree, worked retail and is familiar with the brand.
