ST. PAUL, MN (BRAIN) — Bill Armas, Park Tool’s longtime director of marketing, has left the company and plans to move back to Southern California where he grew up. “Park is a terrific company with an unbelievable team of skilled and ethical people, “ he said.

Armas also had praise for Eric Hawkins, the company’s owner. “Eric and I have been friends for 30 years and we’re friends now. This is all very amicable. Park has treated me very well in this process,” Armas added.

Armas had been with Park Tool for eight years as director of marketing. During that time he organized and managed the company’s popular Tech Summits, its advertising and marketing programs as well as event attendance.

“This was a good time for me to go,” he said, noting that the company celebrated its 50th anniversary and the opening of its new facilities earlier in the season. “So I’m looking to make my way back to Southern California,” he added. Armas owns a home in San Clemente.

Armas had been at GT for seven years as its general manager for accessories. Prior to that he had been director of marketing at Bell Sports. “Over the years I’ve done a lot of stuff,” he quipped.
