RIVERSIDE, CA (BRAIN) — Spooky Kross, part of L.A. Bike Fest weekend, returns this year to the Fairplex Stadium Complex in Pomona, California, Oct. 26. Cyclists of all ages and skill levels are welcome to take part in cyclocross races.
“One weekend out of the year we transform the Fairplex horse racing track into a challenging cyclocross arena,” said Dorothy Wong, organizer of the Prestige Series for Southern California Cyclocross. “We run 26 different races and events on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. beginning with community and family activities including a haunted pumpkin bike maze for kids, a costumed cyclocross, a zombie ride and a fixed-gear criterium.”
Spooky Kross weekend and Saturday’s Spooky Kross costume race for kids and adults benefits the Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition, a chapter of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition.
Spooky Kross is a full day of cycling fun plus concert/DJ entertainment, a ‘bike-in’ movie and carnival. Internet retailer Jenson USA is presenting sponsor.
