Kinetic hires longtime contractor David Simpson as marketing manager

Published November 12, 2013

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (BRAIN) — Kinetic has hired David Simpson as full-time marketing manager; Simpson has worked as a contractor with the brand since 2008.

Simpson has been a staple in Kinetic's Minneapolis offices, Interbike booth and event staff as a year-round contractor providing graphic design and marketing support.

"David has been a integral part of our operations for years so to bring him on full-time to help build the brand is a great addition for Kinetic," said division manager Paul Carlsen. "David brings years of experience in and out of the bike industry and a deep understanding of our product line, history and company culture."

While working with Kinetic, Simpson operated Simpson Design, where he worked with clients including Target, The University of Minnesota, The National Center for Food Protection and Defense and Home Services Publications. Prior to running his own design firm, Simpson worked in the publishing world as art director for Musicland's Request Magazine and MSP Communications, a Minneapolis-based publishing firm.

"As a cyclist I was excited to work with Kinetic from the start, and over the years it's grown into a great professional relationship and great friendships," Simpson said. "Moving in-house will be a seamless change and we're already looking forward to expanding some existing marketing efforts and launching new ones to support the best-built trainers on the market."

Simpson's new contact information is dsimpson@kurt.com and 763-572-4529.
