RockyMounts hosts fundraiser for Valmont Bike Park

Published January 9, 2014

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — RockyMounts is throwing a fundraising party to support Valmont Bike Park this Friday.

Every month the Boulder, Colo., rack company hosts local celebrities who serve brews to raise money for local nonprofits including IMBA, Boulder Mountainbike Alliance and the Boulder Humane Society. Money raised at this Friday’s Guest Bartender Event will go toward maintenance of the Valmont Bike Park, which is hosting the USA Cyclocross National Championships.

“The park is an amazing asset for Boulder and a model for communities across the country. However, most people don’t know the amount of volunteer hours and money it takes to keep the park up and running,” the company said in a statement.

Athletes, sponsors, local cycling enthusiasts and bike/outdoor industry professionals are invited to RockyMount’s headquarters at 2055 26th Street, Boulder. The event starts at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 10.

Entry is $5 for those who ride to the event; $10 for those who drive. All proceeds raised through these donations and sales of “Boulder 14” merchandise will go toward Valmont Park. RockyMounts is also accepting donations from companies and organizations unable to attend.
