SALT LAKE CITY (BRAIN) — Scott Sports has promoted Nic Sims from U.S. bike marketing manager to US marketing director across all divisions, including Scott's bike, wintersports, moto and running categories.
"His passion and knowledge for the sports industry and enthusiasm for the Scott brand will make him a perfect fit as the U.S. marketing director," said Scott Sports general manager John Quinn.
"I am looking forward to this new opportunity and growing the brand recognition across multiple disciplines, not just bike. We have a great U.S. marketing team and I am looking forward to working together to grow the excitement that we are already generating in the bike segment," said Sims.
Sims was with Specialized for 22 years, leaving the company as global marketing public relations manager in 2012. He then was Alpinestars as an outside communications manager for a time before joining Scott last September.
