Torcano Industries to distribute Muna balance bikes

Published June 30, 2014

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (BRAIN) —  Torcano Industries will begin distributing Muna balance bikes internationally beginning in August.

Muna balance bikes will feature two steel-framed models ($110 retail) and two alloy-framed models ($160). All four models feature a rear hand brake (with drum brake), rubber tires and tubes, headset with ball bearings, seatpost quick release, spoked wheels and riser handlebars.

"We're going to change the game with the IBD when it comes to selling balance bikes," said John Denson, owner of Torcano Industries.

Torcano plans to add 16-inch and 20-inch kids' bikes later in the year.

"Our goal is to give the IBD the opportunity to once again make this sale, instead of to keep losing this customer to big box," Denson said. "I think suppliers have forgotten about this category, especially when it comes to supporting the IBD."
