BTI distributing Rivet's saddles and other leather products

Published March 20, 2015

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (BRAIN) — New Mexico-based distributor Bicycle Technologies International is the new exclusive U.S. distributor of Rivet Cycle Works leather products.

"With Rivet, shops have access to a broad selection of the highest quality bicycle components. From a distinct line of leather saddles to premium saddle bags, grips, tape and bells, Rivet blends classic styling with modern ergonomics." said Preston Martin, BTI's vice president. While BTI is Rivet's exclusive U.S. distributor, the brand also has distribution in other countries.

Rivet is owned and operated by Debra Banks, who jumped into the business in order to create a saddle that would carry her on endurance rides.

"If the saddle can successfully carry me on a 760-mile ride in 3 1/2 days, then it can carry you where you want to go," Banks said.

Rivet accessories make use of more of the leather hide leftover from saddles to reduce waste.
